Pregnancy is an exciting time, and a scary time! We want what is best for our precious little babies, our bodies, and for our overall health- a lot is riding on these few months and we want to do it right! Essential oils can be a part of this season of life, with the right knowledge. 

The research in this document has been taken from the NAHA (National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy) who aligns their belief with the work done through the IFPA (International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists). 

Safe CE essential oils for use during pregnancy (when used in moderation and with a healthy carrier oil such as Fractionated Coconut Oil):

German Chamomile, Orange, Clary Sage, Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Sandalwood, Tea Tree, Ylang Ylang, Sweet Marjoram, Lemon, Cypress, Frankincencse

Common concerns:

Placenta- EOs do penetrate the placenta in very small amounts and can be beneficial. There are no recorded instances of harm being caused to the child through topical EOs use. 

Overuse- EOs are safe in moderation, 2-3 times per day, 1-2 drops at a time!
